Marine planktonic Ostracods

The Ostracoda are a sub-class of relatively small crustaceans which occur in most aquatic habitats. Many aquatic biologists can recognise an ostracod as such but comparatively few can identify one to species level. The main problem has been the lack of a modern guide which this Synopsis addresses for offshore marine groups.
