Keys to families of British spiders

This AIDGAP identification guide includes the 34 families of spiders known to occur in Britain (at the time it was written). Designed and tested for use in the field, it should enable the non-specialist to make a positive identification of the spiders that they find. Two spider identification keys are presented. The first is a traditional dichotomous format, using morphological characters that are visible under low-power magnification. The second identification key, a tabular guide, includes a range of behavioural and ecological characters. Sections on spider morphology, biology, ecology and a glossary are also provided.
